So many projects are under way now, it’s kind of hard to keep up with documenting what’s going on.
- embroidery machine / sewing machine - I’ve done some initial testing with the embroidery.. it looks awesome. I have some other pieces of the puzzle en route to open my possibilities up quite a bit.
- Sewing machine + photography = light diffusers for the work lights. I bought some rip stop nylon and have constructed the fabric portion of a pseudo-soft-box… the big problem with the last time I shot our artwork was the wicked highlights… I’m crossing my fingers in hopes that this will work.
- fine art photography redux - Jono lent me his high res digital SLR, thanks dude!
- Fine art wiki game plan - making a serious effort to plan out what I need to do in order to be ready to get in front of people
- Drawing a lot… lots of ideas for new artwork
- Hey, I can cut 3 inch high density foam on my bandsaw! Sweet!
- piece 4 staring at me saying “Ahem…” because of the distractions… waiting for paint… yes yes… soon.
- Fairly major optimizations in the workshop - central dust collection, repurposing workshop furniture… we have a city-wide big-trash pickup day wednesday… we’ll be able to get rid of some of the stuff we inherited with the house that we don’t want anymore (goodbye 80’s ceiling fan)
